We need to make it cheaper and competitive before we start using it".&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;This always sounds ridiculous to me. Of course, that's because I value the health of people and the sustainability of our society, which of course are purely externalities that capitalism has no interest in protecting. It's like using a toilet. We don't claim that toilets need to come down in price because it's easier to go out and shit on the street. We understand that some thing are more expensive but are worth it to keep the places we live nice. I think it's the same with solar energy. &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;And besides, solar energy is too expensive but the Iraq war isn't?
